Micro-Quartz, crafted by Forcrete, blends minimalist elegance with advanced microcement innovation. Grade
Three grain sizes, one material. All three share the same binder, the same waterproofing and the same strength — what changes is how much of the trowel survives.
Smooth
No visible grain — a plaster effect, for a minimal surface. Takes the widest range of techniques: stucco effect, smooth over coarse, duo colour, light texture, plain.
Medium
Understated and simplistic. Subtle tone and minimal movement, which is why it carries most specifications without asking for attention.
Coarse
Highly durable — large grain, natural stone. Sanded heavily it comes back smooth to the touch; left lightly sanded it gives the most grip.
Colour
Forty-two standard colours, and anything else on request. Pigment is mixed into the material rather than applied on top, so the tone runs through the coat. Samples are hand-finished to the texture you specify.
Two levels, settled with the sealer. Matt sits low and even, and is the usual specification for bathrooms, where a quiet surface matters more than a hard one. Diamond Polished is dense and highly refined — MOH 7.5 — and takes a great deal to abrade or scratch. It reads deeper, and it throws light.
Slip resistance follows from both decisions. R11 and 36 PTV wet are readily achievable, and Coarse left lightly sanded gives the most grip. Grade, sheen and slip are settled together at the outset — none of them can be changed once the sealer is down.

Every location has its own build-up. Microcement is a multi-layer coating — primer, base coats, finish coats and sealer, and the right one depends on the substrate and the surface it is protecting.
Floor system
Fast Floor System
The shortest build-up we specify. Primer with a sand broadcast, two finish coats, two coats of sealer — no separate basecoat, so the floor is back in use sooner and the added height stays minimal.
Specify it on sound, stable substrates where there is no movement to absorb and the existing level cannot be raised.

Our default floor build-up. A Forprime HB basecoat with sand broadcast sits between primer and finish, giving the finish coats a mechanically keyed bed to bond to.
The extra coat buys tolerance — stronger adhesion across mixed substrates and a more even surface over a large floor. Choose this over the Fast system whenever the programme allows.

Floor system
Belt and Braces Floor System
Everything the Standard system has, plus 160gsm fiberglass mesh embedded between two basecoats.
The mesh bridges hairline movement, so this is the build-up for plywood and Hardie backer board, for floors going over existing tile, and for anywhere a substrate joint could telegraph through. The longest programme of the three, and the most forgiving.
Monogrip primer, two finish coats and one or two coats of sealer, applied straight over taped drywall.
The quickest route to a continuous plaster surface, and the system that accepts the widest range of finishes. For dry areas where the wall is already flat and stable.

A Monostone basecoat between primer and finish levels the substrate out before the Micro-Quartz goes on.
Specify it when the wall has to read perfectly flat under raking light, or when the finish is a smooth, low-texture Micro-Quartz that shows everything underneath it.
